About

Born and raised near Kansas City, Missouri, Scott C. Hall is a graduate from the University of Kansas and Rockhurst University. He is a world traveler, writer, and storyteller with a passion for exploring both the globe and the human spirit.

After losing his mother to cancer in 2012, he embarked on a life-changing journey to honor her final wish—having her cremated and taking her memory to one hundred remarkable places around the world. These adventures became the foundation for his heartfelt memoir, 100 Places After, a blend of personal reflection, history, and the universal search for meaning.

With over a decade of travel experience, Scott has visited 70 countries and all seven continents, including destinations like the icy expanse of Antarctica, the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu, and the bustling streets of Berlin. He combines his love for storytelling with his keen eye for history and culture, capturing moments that inspire readers to see the world with curiosity and compassion.

He is also the author of How to Travel the World, a comprehensive, no-nonsense guide that equips travelers of all styles and budgets with the tools, tips, and confidence to plan, navigate, and enjoy global adventures independently and affordably.
